Beautiful place! Picturesque location by the sea. Lovely rooms and service. We also booked the dinner and it was so amazing! Best place we stayed in Scotland. Book rooms and dinner early.
Beautiful rooms with a very comfy bed - we had the best nights sleep of the whole trip! The whole place had a great ambiance. The setting and house is just beautiful. Staff were attentive and professional. Breakfast and tasting menu was very good.
Monkstadt 1745 is an absolute gem! We stayed in the Alexander Suite, which was spacious, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The king-size bed was perfectly firm — ideal for anyone with back issues. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We did the tasting menu for dinner and it was superb — every dish thoughtfully prepared with fresh local ingredients and paired with an excellent drink menu. The location is peaceful, remote, and perfect for exploring the Isle of Skye’s best sights. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel and room were incredibly comfortable, a true haven of relaxation. The location was perfect – quiet and peaceful, just what I needed. Breakfast was delicious, setting me up perfectly for the day. I'm already planning my return visit! The only minor drawback was the noise from the room above. Footsteps were quite audible, which did disturb my sleep a little. However, this didn't overshadow the overall excellent experience. I'd still highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely be back.
It's a beautiful remote location with beautiful views. We were on the top floor and had a cute room with lots of windows and great views. The shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. We loved all the cute details and the nod to Bonnie Prince Charlie. Breakfast was made to order and delicious.
